As a cosmetology student at James Albert Schools, you'll benefit from our world class training facility &staff, and special cosmetology events with leaders in the beauty industry.

As a student of James Albert Schools, you will gain worldwide access into the latest hairstyles and cosmetology techniques coming from major fashion capitols around the world. Once you complete your cosmetology training, you'll be an elite member of an educational system, which brings all cultures into one understandable and creative arena.

Our cosmetology students pride themselves in having engaged in an intensive course of study and discovery which will guide them to success, high achievement, and a mastery of accomplishment. The student's time is spent initially in theoretical as well as practical work. The goal is to establish thorough and complete knowledge of cosmetology as well as good professional habits. The program consists of demonstrations, lectures and examinations. The scheduling at the beginning of the cosmetology program is primarily classroom work. The latter portion is the actual application of all phases on live models and mannequins under constant supervision of our professional instructors.

A Cosmetologist provides personal services to his/her clientele relating to good grooming. These services are: hair cutting, shampooing, rinses, hair styling, hair coloring, chemical waving, relaxing, hair removal, manicuring, pedicuring, facials, make-up, scalp or hair treatments and hair pieces. As cosmetologists, students must develop an attractive appearance, pleasant personality and observe professional ethics. This knowledge and skill will prepare them to enter the business world as a hairdresser, hair colorist or salon owner.

The course is designed based on a revolving curriculum schedule. Therefore, you can start the course at any time throughout the year. The course is divided into six intensive stages with each stage lasting five weeks and covering all the fundamental basics of Cosmetology as a whole. The nature and content of each phase changes as you progress through the course, however, there are a few things that remain constant; students will receive personal guidance and monitoring from a seasoned, licensed instructor throughout all work sessions. Theory and related practical assignments are given to assess students' progress at regular intervals. Students are given a one-on-one appraisal at the end of every stage to ensure that they are progressing and achieving the learning goals set forth by James Albert School of Cosmetology.
